Black in the day before the skateboard park there was a sport that evolved into what we now call skateboarding. It was invented by the OG surfers in California as a way to practice their moves and a creative outlet for when the waves were flat. They called it surf skating and it was basically a set of roller skates retrofitted to a slab of wood that somewhat resembled a mini surfboard. This is where much of the style for surfing was comprised. Now in a world of wave parks and kids doing inverts and kick-flips on surfboards it has become obvious to see the trend.
